First Link® is a community of learning services and support.

The First Steps in the Alzheimer journey are similar to the steps we would take when beginning any other voyage. We need to plan early, anticipate any problems we may encounter along the way, talk to others who have already been there, learn about where we are going and ho best to get there. First Link® can help with those first steps and support you on your journey.

• First Link® gets you connected early and will support you throughout your journey.

• The more you know about Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia the better you may be able to cope with you situation.

• You will be linked to community supports and services.

LEARNING

• First Link® provides opportunity to learn about every step in the Alzheimer journey.

• The learning series offers information about diagnosis, day-to-day living, positive approaches to care, strategies for challenge and how to prepare for the end of life.

SERVICES

• First Link® connects you to Alzheimer Society programs and services, and provides information about other community and health care services.

SUPPORT

• First Link® connects you with an opportunity for individual support or support groups.
